A Letter to the Danish Embassies and Consulates

To one who may concerned in the Danish Embassy or Consulate:

I want to express our deep concern to you and your goverment about the slanders directed to our Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in the Twelve drawings depicting Prophet Muhammad in different insulting settings that appeared in Denmark's largest circulation daily Jyllands-Posten on September 30!! (In one of the drawings, he appeared with a turban shaped like a bomb strapped to his head.)

This is outrageous!!!

These cartoons are totally unaccepted!!

We, Muslims, dont ever insult Jesus or Moses or any prophet! We respect and honor them all. This is a basic rule in Islam. It is even considered blasphemous under Islam to insult any prophet (peace be upon them all).

Anti-Islam Campaign:

Islam is Denmark's second largest religion after the Lutheran Protestant Church, which is actively followed by four-fifths of the country's population. Danish Muslims - estimated at 180,000 or around 3 per cent of Denmark's 5.4 million

Danish Muslims are living peacefully in Denmark and dont want to do any harm to community. There hasnt been any terrorist attacks in Denmark made by Muslims. So WHY this anti-Islam campaign?!

Freedom of expression doesnt mean desecrating other religions, or prophets. The Danish daily trespassed all limits of objective criticism into insults and contempt!

This anti-Islam and anti-Muslims campaign violate the anti-racism laws in Denmark! (Kaj Vilhelmsen, a Danish radio commentator, has been charged with violating anti-racism laws for his anti-Muslim remarks in which he called for "exterminating Muslims" in Europe.)

If we want to live in peace together, we should respect each other. There is no need to inflame the Muslims' feelings against Denmark! These campaigns can stir up the feelings of agressive Muslims anywhere and make them do some terrorist attacks in Denmark where many innocent people will die!

If these insults didnt stop, we will boycott the Danish products in our communities. We can not buy products from a country that insults our PROHPHET. (We are 1.6 billion Muslims all over the world)

Drive to boycott Danish, Norwegian goods takes off

Our Demands:

1. A serious official apology to Muslims for what happened.

2. The Danish newspaper should make a space for speaking about prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by knowledgable Muslim(s).

3. Danish Muslims should be given full rights as citizens, such as they should be allowed to build mosques, they use an ex-diary product factory as a mosque right now!

4. Laws should be set to protect Muslims from other racist incidents, their beliefs should be protected by the law, like the Holocaust!

5. Muslim scholars should be let to tell lectures about prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in universities to let the Danes know about his reality: he is not a terrorist, he does not wear a bomb turban!
